Basic Information (Legal Status and Registration details):

SHED- the “Society for Health Extension and Development” is registered with the Directorate, Social Welfare Services under the Regulations of Voluntary Organizations No. 46 of 1961, vide no. Chattro-1499/ dated 15th November 1989 and with the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Foreign Donation (Voluntary Activities) Regulations Ordinance No. 11 of 1978, being the registration no. 408, dated 14th November 1990.

In 1991, SHED was registered under the Family Planning Directorate being the No. Pa, Pa, Au/MIS/141/90/755, dated: 22.01,’91 and registered with Voluntary Health Services Society (VHSS) 27.02.2001.

SHED has a constitution approved by the Social Welfare Directorate, which has the provision of 11 members executive committee elected for 2 years, by the general committee.
